LISTSERV Maestro 11.1-2 Help Table Of Contents

Create Hybrid Subscriber List From Imported LISTSERV List

  • To import a LISTSERV List from LISTSERV as new Hybrid Subscriber List, select New Imported LISTSERV List... from the menu (or go via the right-click menu of the Subscriber Lists node in the subscriber warehouse tree).
  • To import a LISTSERV List from LISTSERV as new Hybrid Subscriber List in an existing list group, first select the desired list group node in the subscriber warehouse tree on the subscriber list overview. Then select New In List Group Imported LISTSERV List... from the menu (or go via the right-click menu of the list group node in the subscriber warehouse tree).

This screen guides you through the process of creating a Hybrid Subscriber List in the LISTSERV Maestro Subscriber Warehouse by importing one of your existing LISTSERV lists.

Source

The selection box lists all LISTSERV lists that are accessible to your account and that have not yet been converted to a Hybrid Subscriber List. Select the desired list to access LISTSERV and read all the list's settings and the current list subscriptions.

Note: Maestro will not modify anything at LISTSERV before you finally click the [Create Hybrid Subscriber List] button.

List Settings

After a list's details have been retrieved from LISTSERV in the step above, you can review and possibly modify the list settings by clicking the Refine Settings link. This opens the Hybrid Subscriber List settings wizard.

Default Values

If the list you selected has subscribers, then the options and names of each list subscriber are imported to the Maestro system database. The list group or the refined list settings may however include additional (and potentially mandatory) profile fields. Since the details of a LISTSERV list subscription do not cover these additional profile field values, default values can be supplied for these fields. If any of these fields happen to be mandatory, the screen tells you so and marks the default value edit link appropriately.

Summary

This section summarizes the actions that Maestro will perform once you click the [Create Hybrid Subscriber List] button.
