IMPORTANT

*Please read this notice in its entirety*

Dear Elkton Hall 6th floor resident,

We are pleased to inform you that the cleaning and remediation process on your floor is on track to be completed before tomorrow morning.  We are looking forward to your return to Elkton Hall!

You may return to Elkton hall tomorrow, Monday, October 1st after 8:00 am. You must check out of your hotel room no later than 4:00 pm on Monday, October 1st  We recognize this is a change from the initial schedule, however we are working to ensure the quality assurance checks are complete before your return..  Should the check out time frame conflict with your academic schedule, you may check your personal belonging with the hotel front desk to store temporarily.

It is imperative that you adhere to the schedule in order to accommodate your fellow Terps who are scheduled next to relocate to hotels while their floor is assessed, cleaned, and remediated. Your cooperation in returning to Elkton Hall will assist in a smooth transition to have all Elkton Hall residents back home under one roof before long.

Important things to note:

  • Upon your return, your room will have been thoroughly cleaned by specialized, outside contractors and inspected.

  • Your packed personal belongings will be delivered to you within 24 hours of your return.

  • As you are unpacking, inspect your personal belongings and wipe them down with soap and water before putting them away.  You may launder your clothing (if you haven?t done so already) in the Elkton Hall laundry room free of charge through the end of this project.

  • Please leave at least 12 inches of space (approximately one floor tile) between furniture/belongings and the AC fan coil unit. This will allow the system to perform optimally

  • The expert contractors recommended carpets (if the room had one) be removed for deep cleaning.  It will be returned to your room in approximately 2 weeks.

We again apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you, and thank you again for your cooperation while we complete this important work.  We look forward to your return to Elkton Hall.

Sincerely,
