Department of Resident Life

Dear Elkton 2nd floor residents,

With your hotel stay falling on a weekend night and most offices being closed, we write to provide you with University resources available should you need assistance during your stay at the Cambria Hotel and The Hotel at the University of Maryland.

The dedicated Elkton UMD Shuttle will continue to run approximately every 25 minutes from The Hotel to Elkton Hall from 7:00 am-11:00 pm daily to assist you with moving items to and from the hotel and to get to campus during your hotel stay. You can check the bus schedule posted in the lobby of the hotel for departure and arrival times. Outside shuttle route hours, the UMD Nite Ride program is also providing service to the hotels.  Please utilize these services as you are going to and from the hotel.

Both hotels are within the University of Maryland Police Department?s concurrent jurisdiction. In addition to normal patrols in those areas, patrol supervisors are checking in with hotel staff during each shift. In an emergency, students should dial 911 or 301-405-3333 to contact police.

In addition, you may contact the Resident Life professional staff member who is onsite each night from 7:00 pm-10:00 am on the weekend and 7:00 pm -8:00 am on weekends at the hotels.  To reach the Resident Life staff member on duty at the hotels please call:

  • The Hotel - dial 240.882.9104
  • Cambria Hotel, dial 240.882.9103.

On a final note, please be mindful and respectful of other hotel patrons some of who are and are not affiliated with the University of Maryland.  We want you to take care of yourself and of one another during your stay.  Please continue to show your positive Terrapin spirit and Maryland pride.

We are looking forward to your return to Elkton Hall Wednesday, October 10 by 4:00 pm. Be safe Terps!

Sincerely,

Department of Resident Life
