Dear La Plata Hall Resident, We are writing regarding LaPlata Hall’s current Enhanced Health Precautions status. We applaud the many residents who are diligently following the EHP expectations and adhering to the 4 Maryland guidelines of wearing a properly fitted mask, maintaining at least six feet physical distance from others, washing hands frequently, and staying home and away from others when sick. WE MUST STAY THE COURSE! Please continue practicing these behaviors even if you have previously tested positive for COVID-19.
End of Enhanced Health Precautions (EHP) - Monday, February 15 at 5:00 p.m. EHP is scheduled to conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15. This is two hours earlier than initially planned. La Plata Hall residents may resume regular activities at that time, including visiting the dining halls, The Stamp, and scheduling RecWell appointments to use the fitness centers. Guest policy and eating restrictions in lounges and common spaces remain in effect. Students currently staying in La Plata Hall Your compliance with EHP expectations is required and is critical to the health of our community. Review the previous notification and the list below for reminders of these important public health directives. Students found in violation of these expectations may face serious administrative or conduct action, including termination of the housing agreement and removal from the residence halls. Students currently in on-campus Quarantine or Isolation Housing For those whose quarantine or isolation period is complete on or before February 15, two UMD buses have been scheduled to transport residents from quarantine and isolation (Q/I) housing to La Plata Hall. The buses will arrive at the Leonardtown Community Center bus stop at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, to begin transporting residents to La Plata Hall.
Students who are unable to leave at 5:00 p.m. may still use the regular transportation service by scheduling an appointment through the Leonardtown Service Desk, 301.314.5366. This service runs through 8:00 p.m. Dining Services will deliver dinner to those students who cannot depart Q/I housing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
Students who left campus for EHP Your residence hall swipe card access will resume at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 15. Please plan your arrival back to campus beginning no earlier than 5:00 p.m.
