Dear Denton Hall 3rd Floor Residents, The health and safety of our community are our fundamental priority. We are committed to ongoing work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. We have seen a rise in COVID-19 cases on the third floor of Denton Hall. As part of our protocol, all residents who tested positive are now isolating. Anyone who was identified as a close contact with someone who tested positive was notified and moved to designated quarantine housing. However, the prevalence of positive cases on your floor compels us to take further action. All Denton Hall residents must be tested for COVID-19 on Friday, February 19, and again on Monday, February 22. Please review the details below carefully.
REQUIRED COVID-19 TESTING on Friday and Monday All third-floor residents are required to be tested twice for COVID-19; tomorrow, Friday, February 19, and again on Monday, February 22.
*Failure to meet this COVID-19 testing requirement will result in administrative action.
We understand this news may be worrisome or frustrating - especially for all of us who have been steadfastly abiding by our 4 Maryland healthy behaviors. We must diligently continue to practice these important guidelines - wear your mask at all times, keep six feet distance from others, wash your hands frequently, monitor your daily symptoms, and stay home and away from others if feeling sick. We MUST be in this together, Terps, to ensure a full and healthy spring semester. We care deeply about your health, safety, and well-being, and our staff is here to support you. Let’s continue to work together 4 Maryland and to keep our UMD community healthy. |
