Student and Program Services is committed to streamlining and enriching the university experience for students, faculty, and staff, as well as internal and external partners. The team’s central objective is to serve as the single point of contact for all matters pertaining to admissions, scheduling, registration, and data.
Student and Program Services accomplishes its mission by delivering exceptional support services to both students and academic programs. This includes but is not limited to facilitating admissions, collaborating in academic scheduling, creating user-friendly webforms, and harnessing the power of data to streamline operations and support decision-making. An unwavering dedication to customer service, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement drives the team’s commitment to providing outstanding services to the university community. |

SCHEDULING INSTRUCTIONS NOW ONLINE |
|
All scheduling instructions for Extended Studies administered programs have been added to the Extended Studies administrative website. Instructions are updated annually and published in accordance with program timelines for course scheduling. Access to scheduling instructions is restricted to authorized users with a valid CAS login. Student and Program Services provides email notifications when scheduling instructions for a specific semester/term are available. |

Winter Session 2024 |
|
Winter Session registration opened on October 17. Marketing resources are available on the Extended Studies administrative website. |

Summer Session 2024 |
|
Summer Session registration opens on February 20, 2024. It is not too late to add courses for Summer Session! Review your unit’s waitlists from Fall 2023 and consider adding sections of high-demand courses. Contact summer-sched@umd.edu for assistance. |

Terp Young Scholars 2024 |
|
The application for Terp Young Scholars, the university’s pre-college program for academically talented high school students, opens on January 9, 2024. High school students earn three college credits and receive in-depth guidance for the college search and application process. Faculty and staff can use tuition remission for this three-week program which takes place July 8-26, 2024. |

Have an idea for a self-support graduate program? Extended Studies has licensed Analyst, a tool by Lightcast, to help you analyze the supply, demand, and competition for a proposed self-support program. Contact Extended Studies to request a meeting. |
