Enhanced Health Precautions Expectations Your compliance with the expectations below is essential to the health and safety of our campus community. Remember to:
Please keep in mind, failure to comply with the directives listed above increases the risk to your health and the health of others. Those found in violation of these expectations may face administrative or conduct action that could include termination of your housing agreement and removal from the residence halls. Support and Assistance Case managers will be available via Webex Video Conferencing for La Plata Hall residents to answer questions and offer support during the Enhanced Health Precautions period. These case management sessions are available only to La Plata residents, and the meeting information provided should not be shared with anyone outside the La Plata community. You can also submit questions to the case managers via email to housingcasemgmt@umd.edu, and the case managers will respond to your questions as quickly as possible.

If you need additional assistance, please contact the Community Operations Desk, located temporarily in Hagerstown Hall at 301-314-5275 (301-314-LAPL). This desk is staffed 24 hours per day. Desk staff can connect you with Resident Life staff who can help.
Meals The Department of Dining Services will provide a served buffet meal at The Diner for La Plata Hall residents in a separate location within The Diner. La Plata Hall residents should enter through The Diner’s side door facing the quad side of LaPlata Hall. Pick up your meals at the designated hours and return to your room to dine. La Plata residents will not be permitted to enter The Diner’s main entrance or other dining locations on campus. Meal Pick Up Hours Saturday and Sunday: Brunch/Lunch 10:00 a.m. -Noon Dinner 5:00 p.m. -6:30 p.m. Weekdays: Breakfast 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Lunch 12:30 p.m. -1:30 p.m. Dinner 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Students with food allergies or dietary restrictions should alert ds-ellicottdininghall@umd.edu by email of your specific dietary concern.
You will not have access to the other dining halls, Stamp eateries, convenience stores, or the North Campus Outpost until after 7:00 p.m. on February 15. COVID-19 Testing As a reminder, all UMD students are required to be tested for COVID-19 every two weeks. Please plan accordingly and continue to follow these testing requirements during this period of Enhanced Health Precautions. What if my plans have changed and I decide to go home If your plans change and you decide to go home at any point during the 10-day period, you must update the response to your EHP form here.
